Community project with PPG

Our playground is looking much brighter and more colorful thanks to the hard work of almost 60 volunteers from PPG over the summer holidays. The freshly painted murals, planters and remaining woodwork has injected a new lease of life into our outdoor areas.

The addition of new playground markings is of particular significance for us as educators whether it pupils learning phonics on the ‘Phonics Frog’, their times tables on the multiplication grid or developing their gross motor skills on the activity trail. The markings encourage collaborative play and teamwork amongst the children. These values are incredibly important and ones which we strive to promote.

colourful communities

Please see our Twitter account for details of the grand opening on 8th September 2017 where The Mayor of Kirklees, MP Tracy Brabin and representatives from PPG paid school a visit to congratulate us on the works.

Thank you to everyone at PPG for their help with this project. It really will benefit all ages as they learn and grow at BPA. It really is amazing how a splash of colour can transform our lives and the future of our children.
